About Us
Lynn Rasmussen founded Mohala Media LLC to copublish her book Men Are Easy with Greenleaf Book Group. In Summer, 2009, her daughter Molly emailed an article about math apps for kids. Inspired by a long time hobby of teaching math, Lynn changed the company name to Icanology LLC and formed a team to develop her first game for the iPhone, Arithmaroo 1: A Counting Math Game for Kids. It was released in the iTunes store in February, 2010. A former board member of the International Society for the Systems Sciences, Lynn loves systems theory and thinking, and is now deeply exploring and applying games, game theory, and user interface design to innovative education solutions. She and her husband, Richard, live in Makawao, Maui, Hawaii.
Molly Rasmussen graduated from Cornell University in 2003 and worked as a swimwear designer in Los Angeles for 7 years. In April 2010, Molly joined Lynn to upgrade Arithmaroo and produce the MathGirl series. Molly applies her experience with design and trends to the wild new world of app design. She lives two blocks from the beach in Venice, California.
